Saying goodbye to the main venue for #wwd 2015:

Some exposed cob+timber frame construction in Odunpazari, Eskişehir:

Spotted this prize magazine specimen in the hotel lobby:

Buying viola strings at justmusic.de in Berlin is a weird process. You choose the strings at the desk on the top floor, who give you a piece of paper and tell you to go to the ground floor. By the time you’ve got there, the strings have arrived in a little vacuum tube thing, and you pay for them.
I’m not entirely sure how this works for the pianos and do not intend on buying one to find out, unless they have a vacuum-tube to Iceland as well.
Today the office dog insists on playing catch with a tiny piece of paper, which goes something like this:
HEY HEY HEY HERE IS A SMALL SCRAP OF PAPER MAYBE YOU WOULD LIKE TO THROW IT FOR ME HMM YES PAPER
AH HA YES THANK YOU FOR THROWING THE PAPER I WILL NOW EXCITEDLY FETCH IT AS IF IT WAS THE FINEST OF TREASURE

Designing a new foot pedal controller at Reykjavík Fablab!

Checked into 68 Middle St. for indiewebcamp.com/2014/UK day 1. There’s still time+space for last-minute signups, coming for only one day is fine also!
Checked into Háskóli Akureyri for tradition.is workshop day two
Checked into Grillmarkaðurinn
And that’s what happens when I try writing HTML on an iPhone.
Band in Ingólfstorg are impressively tight and talented, but also very repetitive :/ On with the headphones.
Checked into the new Vísar HQ to join in #indiewebcampsf hack day a little late — working on lots of little fixes, timezones on my posts first up!
Moved into the new office today, made a Vísar flag:

Now to get

printed and stuck on the wall.
Achievement unlocked at #hakkavelin: compiled and burned a C program to a PIC 16F886, using main.c written by hand and more-or-less understood.
Returned to Iceland to find RTC chip free samples waiting for me @ Vísar HQ, solidifying maximintegrated.com as my favourite semiconductor company — samples shipped to Iceland, of all places, arriving within days of being ordered.
Checked into Halsway Manor
Celebrating oneoldernessday at the office by finding my Icelandic name – it’s either Bjarndal (bear dale) or Bjarnhéðinn (bear skin, pronounced byarn-hey-thinn).
The ever-awesome @briansuda and Ninja got me a copy of berglondon.com/products/svk — loving the affordances of having ink you can choose not to see, also pondering the possibilities of additive fanfiction where you add your own internal monologue/headcanon/background details in-place over the canonical storyline.
Achievement Unlocked: sleep cycle disrupted without crossing any timezones. Back in Iceland again.
Checked into Hakkavelin, HR
Checked in to C is for Cookie, Reykjavik — working on my #indieweb checkin/note location UI, check it out at waterpigs.co.uk/notes/new!
