I run a small web design service for people who want a subtle, stylish website built exactly to order.

As a web designer I offer:

• A website however you want it
• I will work closely with you to achieve the desired result
• Automated systems i.e. once the site is set up, you have simple forms to enter new data
• All graphic design done for you - unless you want to do it
• A subtle, stylish site without irritating bells, whistles or ads.
• Small flash embeds for picture viewing or music
• Supported Google listing and statistics
• Easy to use Mailing Lists
• Website based email system, i.e. yourname@yourdomain.etc that can either be standalone or redirect to your current email address.

Even if you already have a website or are just interested in the graphical side, I offer graphics and photo-manipulation to match the site. Examples: the WaterPigs title logo and John Walters' title logo. Both are simple and effective, and fit seamlessly with the site they are used in.

Pricing

As far as pricing goes, I decide the price depending on the complexity of the website. If it's going to be a simple site, with a few pages, a contact form, it obviously won't cost as much as a full on website with dynamic features, forum, etc.

I usually charge about £150 set up fee, that covers:

• A functional website
• Moderate number of main pages
• Simple dynamic features, i.e. comments form, contact form
• Background graphics, and several main graphics - unless you want to keep your own

Basically, I can set up your site however you want. £150 set up fee is standard, but depends on how much you want of me. I usually make it so you can update your website easily yourself - after all, it belongs to you! Small text updates I do for free, prices of major additions, again, depend on how much work involved.

For hosting we use One.com. They provide dependable yet cheap hosting, along with £50 worth of google ads vouchers. They also provide advanced, under-the-hood site counter facilities. They charge a ~£10 set up fee, then give a years free hosting, then it's about £1.99 per month. You can either pay them directly or you can do it via me, if it's easier.
