The Tao Te Ching is an ancient Chinese philosophical text, purportedly written by Lao Tzu before going into retirement on a Water Buffalo (making him a pretty cool chap). It is made up of 81 short chapters which document the teachings of Lao Tzu.
From Monday the 31st of October 2011, I am going to post one chapter of the Tao Te Ching every day. If you like, have a read, and let me know what you think it means.
At the end, I'm going to compile everybody's thoughts into a (hopefully) beautifully presented web based Tao Te Ching, with the translated text alongside thoughts, interpretations and examples of what the teachings teach.
You will be able to read each chapter and let me know your thoughts right here (no registration required!), but if you want to get a bit more involved, how about subscribing to the RSS feed (coming soon), liking the page on Facebook or following the #taoteching tag on Diaspora?
