Welcome to the centre of all WaterPigs/Blobcon Productions music related things. My name is Barnaby Walters. As you can see in the title bar, I am most interested in Folk, Roots, Traditional and World music. Sadly, I am one in a minority of young people interested in these genres. I have recently also become more interested in Medieval and renaissance music and instruments.
The purpose of this part of the WaterPigs website is to spread the idea and magic of Folk, not to mention contact like-minded others.
I play the Piano Accordion and Mountain Dulcimer. I also make Mountain Dulcimers, amateur at the moment, but getting better! I can often be found busking on Totnes high street, with Accordion and Dulcimer.
I recently became interested in the Hurdy Gurdy, a wonderful instrument. Not to be confused with the 'one man band' or the barrel organ, it is a mechanical fiddle, 'bowed' by a wheel to get a drone sound. As well as planning on trying to make one, I'm ordering a Symphonie from Chris Allen. This is a medieval type of gurdy, box shaped but can do pretty much everything a 'real' gurdy can. It's chromatic, has a trompette (the buzzing bridge) and 2 capos, so I don't have to re-tune so often.

As well as doing general web design, I would also greatly enjoy doing music related web design. Whether you're a player, a builder, a band or an enthusiast, I can adjust the package, design and price to your personal specification. For more information, have a look at my Web Design page. For an example of the kind of music related things I can do, just browse this section of the website.
